Richard Williams is a global mining executive with over 25 years of leadership experience across operations, strategy, and organizational transformation. As Chief Operating Officer of Barrick Gold Corporation (2015–2018), he helped deliver an 80% increase in operating profit and restructured the company’s relationship with the Tanzanian Government, restoring one of Barrick’s most critical partnerships.

Previously, Richard served as CEO of an Africa- and Central Asia-focused exploration company and as Commanding Officer of the British Special Forces Regiment (SAS), bringing a unique combination of operational discipline and strategic leadership to the private sector.

He has also served as a Non-Executive Director of Trevali Mining Corporation and Gem Diamonds PLC.
